Every player rotates partners each round, so over the course of the tournament everyone plays with every other player at least once (in ideal player counts). Pairings are determined by a fixed rotation schedule, not by current results. It is great for mixed-skill groups and club evenings where participation matters more than pure competition.

Why 16 players works well

Sixteen players is the standard for weekend club Americanos — enough to feel like a real tournament but still running in one afternoon. You'll need 15 rounds and ideally 4 courts in parallel. Total duration: about 3 hours 45 minutes, or roughly a Saturday afternoon 14:00-18:00 slot. With 16 players everyone gets to partner with 15 others across the tournament, which is the statistical ceiling for the format.
