FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about organizing tournaments with LiveCup

Is LiveCup free? Do I need a credit card?

LiveCup offers a free plan that lets you create and run tournaments with up to 4 teams. For larger events or premium features like custom branding, TV mode without ads, and PDF exports, affordable paid plans are available starting at $9/month.

Do players need to create accounts?

No! Only organizers need an account. Players join tournaments via QR code in seconds - no registration, no app download required.

Can I use LiveCup for any sport or game?

Absolutely! LiveCup works for any competition - football, basketball, FIFA, CS:GO, Valorant, beer pong, or any game with teams and scores.

How do I display the tournament on a TV?

Open your tournament and click TV Mode. Cast the browser tab to any screen via Chromecast, HDMI, or AirPlay. No special hardware needed - just stunning animated standings.

What tournament formats are available?

Five formats for every sport: League (round-robin), Groups (round robin, no knockout), Groups + Playoff (like the FIFA World Cup), Cup (knockout bracket) and Double Elimination (two losses before you're out). Plus sport-specific formats: Swiss for chess, Americano and Mexicano for racket sports, and Time Trial for race-based sports. All include automated bracket generation and live standings.

Can I edit the tournament after it starts?

Yes! Add teams, reschedule matches, or fix scores anytime. You have full control even mid-tournament.

What does the TV view actually add to a tournament?

The TV view turns any screen into a live tournament hub that keeps every player and spectator in the loop without anyone lifting a finger. Standings update the moment a goal or point is scored, so the room always knows exactly where things stand. With five visual themes — Neon, Broadcast, Stadium, LED Board, and Classic — you can match the atmosphere of any venue, from a basement gaming night to a professional sports hall. It works beautifully for every sport LiveCup supports, whether you're running a FIFA knockout bracket, a volleyball group stage, or a CS:GO league.
